Our Engineering team

Working on our healthtech are 15 ‘Castorians’ spread over three Products including Electronic Data Capture, Study Management System and MyConsent, a Platform Team and a Design Systems team. How would we describe the team? Vibrant, diverse and internationally hailing - with 10+ nationalities.

This mix of Junior, Medior and Senior Software Developers support the ongoing build of our cloud-based, multi-tenant, web application products. On what stack you ask? Each product has a Javascript frontend and a PHP backend.

The opportunity

Castor’s purpose driven mission has reached a crucial stage. Having counted over 150 million data points, we’re quickly building new features, growing our teams and currently using code to crush-COVID!

With growth and new horizons comes the proactive decision for change. With our CTO transferring into the role of Principal Innovation Engineer, you’ll take ownership of our product's technical roadmap, as our Head of Engineering.

An integral part of Castor’s Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work closely with our Head of Product and report directly to our CEO, being the coach and voice of our Engineering team.

You’ll manage and develop Castor’s engineering practices. How? By growing and mentoring a tip-top tech team, nurturing a resilient culture and shaping our architecture and engineering practices which support our ambitions as a global player in healthtech. You’ll also:

• Proudly own and champion Castor’s technical strategy, ensuring high value technical decisions
• Collaborate on Castor’s roadmap to ensure team wide understanding and efficient delivery
• Guide the team through feature builds, automated tests and refactoring code
• Ensuring an optimal and on-going collaboration between engineering and product
